Financial Analyst
Job Description:
Initiate and execute relative value risk positions within well-defined authority/discretion given to the position in each specific decision. - Short term trading execution and logistics in line with the overall trading game plan. - Monitor and control specifically assigned risk positions. - Participate in trading decisions in the form of recommendations accompanied by appropriate level of analysis including but not limited to supply and demand, sourcing, shipping, delivery and payment of the commodity. - Regular, face-to-face and phone communication with customers, brokers, agents, local traders, as needed, to successfully execute trading game plan objectives. Success is defined as making a positive contribution to overall achievement of established financial and other objectives of the business. - Generate market and profit and loss reports for internal use. - Understand and use futures trading strategies to hedge market exposures and inherent risks and rewards. Common risk and exposures include flat price, forex, futures, and price differentials between different futures months, and freight. This position is an integral part of a dedicated, highly engaged team of trading professionals which assumes relative value market positions to supply local customers with imported corn, wheat, and locally produced by-products from a Cargill managed processing joint venture. |
